Advertising & Editorial Independence

Maria’s Cookbook is free to read. Advertising helps pay for hosting, photography, technical services, recipe publishing, and the ongoing work required to maintain the site.

Advertising

The site currently uses third-party advertising technology that includes Google AdSense and Ezoic. Ads may be selected or personalized by advertising providers according to their own systems, privacy practices, and applicable consent requirements.

The appearance of an advertisement on Maria’s Cookbook does not mean that Maria’s Cookbook endorses the advertiser, its products, or its claims.

Editorial independence

Advertisers do not choose which recipes are published and do not control recipe instructions, ratings, corrections, culinary opinions, or conclusions. Editorial decisions are made separately from ad placement.

Sponsored content

If Maria’s Cookbook publishes sponsored editorial content or receives compensation that is directly connected to a particular article or recommendation, that relationship should be disclosed clearly in or near the relevant content.

Affiliate links

If an article contains an affiliate link that may generate a commission for Maria’s Cookbook, the commercial relationship should be disclosed clearly. A commission should not change the price paid by the reader unless the article specifically says otherwise.
